Mary Catherine Crosat

-

I, Mary Crosat, age 87, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017, with my loving family at my side in my home in Petaluma, California. I was married for 71 years to my childhood sweetheart, Raymond Crosat. We have three children: Kathie Bailey (Don); Robert Crosat (Nancy) and Raymond John Crosat (Marty). I also have 6 grandchildren: Michelle Simmons, Donald Bailey, Sarah Gilman (Dave), Matthew Crosat (Andrea), Brad Crosat, Andraya Crosat and 12 great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews who are special to me.

My work career consisted in part of being an usherette for the SF Giants and retiring from their ticket office in 1984. My husband and I then undertook 5th wheeling and visited 39 states. Ray and I then embarked on our journey into ballroom dancing: taking lessons and working our way up through various dance club positions and was crowned queen of the Golden Gate NSD in 2005. I was a member for many years of the Verdi and Verdiette clubs; Italian American Social Club; YLI St. Francis of Assisi #1, Native Daughters of the Golden West and the South San Francisco Elks.

I was an avid SF Giant and 49er fan and never missed watching them on TV.

As most of you know, I so enjoyed dressing up for every holiday, especially 4th of July and Halloween just to see your reactions. I will miss you all but I am getting the party started in heaven!

Friends may visit Thursday, September 28, 2017 after 3:00pm and are invited to attend the Vigil Thursday 7:00pm at DUGGAN’S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 29, 2017, 10:00am at Holy Angels Church, 107 San Pedro Road, Colma. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Hospice of Petaluma for taking such good care of me and my family during this difficult time and would appreciate a donation to Hospice-Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94954, in lieu of flowers.
