Carolyn Anne Livengood

June 12, 1934-October 3, 2017

Carolyn Anne Livengood, late of San Bruno and San Mateo County resident since 1948, entered into rest at her home on October 3, 2017. Loving mother of Mark Livengood and Lexi Livengood (her husband Dan) and many loving cousins (Race family). Also survived by her cherished grand-puppies Joba, Cheyenne, the late Samantha, the late Samson and the late Dalila.

A longtime News Correspondent for the San Mateo Times, San Mateo County Times, San Jose Mercury News, San Mateo Daily Journal, Patch, among others; President of Avenue of the Flags Committee at Golden Gate National Cemetery among being actively involved in other Veteran’s causes; Jobs for Youth; first honoree of Patriot of the Year in 2016; inducted into the San Mateo County Women’s Hall of Fame; in addition to working with many other organizations and causes.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, October 9 after 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, El Camino Real at 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Saint Robert Catholic Church, Oak Avenue and Crystal Springs Road in San Bruno. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma.
