Harris, Nuggets agree to deal

Shooting guard Gary Harris and the Denver Nuggets reportedly have agreed to an $84 million, four-year contract extension that will begin for the 201819 season. ESPN first reported the agreement.

In NBA exhibition highlights, Damian Lillard scored 35 points, CJ McCollum added 20 and the Portland Trail Blazers rang up 70 points in the first half in Los Angeles to beat the Clippers 134-106 . ... Bradley Beal scored 11 points in limited action and the host Washington Wizards improved to 3-0 with a 102-94 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers (0-3), who rested LeBron James and nearly all their regulars . ... LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists, and the host San Antonio Spurs handed the Nuggets their first loss of the preseason, 122-100. Golf: Tyrrell Hatton shot a 6-under-par 66 to fend off Ross Fisher’s course-record 61 and retain his title at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championsh­ip at St. Andrews, Scotland.

Cristie Kerr completed a wire-to-wire victory in the Lacoste Ladies Open de France for her first Ladies European Tour title. Tennis: Rafael Nadal beat Nick Kyrgios of Australia 6-2, 6-1 in the China Open final in Beijing to win his sixth ATP title of the year, and Caroline Garcia defeated Simona Halep 6-4, 7-6 (3) in the women’s event. Gymnastics: Germany’s Pauline Schaefer won the balance beam title at the world championhi­ps in Montreal. American Morgan Hurd, the all-around winner Friday, was second. Horse racing: Unique Bella began sluggishly but gained the lead in early stretch and went on to a 31⁄2-length victory in the Grade 3, $100,345 LA Woman Stakes at Santa Anita. Sidelined since March (sore shins), the Jerry Hollendorf­er-trained 3-year-old filly stretched her winning streak to five in a prep for the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint on Nov. 4 at Del Mar.
