Edward H. Meister, Ned to family, friends and associates, passed away at age 81 in Novato, CA on September 28, 2017.

Ned was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated with a BA degree from the University of Colorado in 1959.

Ned began his career as a banker in San Francisco. He worked for Wells Fargo Bank, Union Bank and the Bank of Montreal. After 20 years he became an Executive Recruiter in the banking industry until he retired. He was an active member of the National Banking Network where he served as their Northern California representa­tive.

Ned was generous with his time. He was involved in the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Northern California. He became active in The Guardsmen where he served on numerous committees, was a member of the Board of Directors, Christmas tree lot Czar (twice) and inducted into The Guardsmen Hall of Fame in 1991. A member of the Bohemian Club for many years, he participat­ed on multiple committees and served on the Board of Directors from 1999-2002.

A warm smile, firm handshake and the joy of laughter were hallmarks of his personalit­y.

Ned acquired a love of biking and spent many an afternoon exploring new trails with family or friends.

Ned is survived by his wife of 59 years Bonnie D. Meister, his daughter Carolyn Meister of Kentfield, CA, his son Neil Meister of Annapolis, MD and his granddaugh­ters Gretchen and Lindsay Meister.
