Dominic Frederick Sigillo

-

Dominic passed on Thursday, October 19th at the age of 68.

Loving son of Emily and Dominic, he grew up in the Richmond district of San Francisco. He attended Riordan and SF State, where he developed a love for musical theater which he then passed on to his family.

Dominic was a great storyteller thanks to his early years working at Playland at the Beach, as well as for Bill Graham at Winterland and Fillmore West. Vending was also a major part of his life. He spent many a day at Kezar, Candlestick Park and the Cow Palace, where he developed lifelong friendships and met the love of his life.

A part time job would later turn into a fulfilling career in wholesale plumbing. In 1993, Dominic started Sigillo Supply in the dining room of his San Bruno home and a year later, he would open shop in the Bayview district of San Francisco. Founded on his expertise and integrity, he loved what he did and was so proud to have worked with both of his daughters. Known as “Papou”, Dominic enjoyed having his two grandchildren, Charlotte and Nathan, spend their early years at work with him.

Dominic was a man of routine. He spent Saturday mornings at “breakfast with the boys”, followed by water aerobics and “Starbucks with the girls.” On game days, he could be found at Windy City Pizza watching the Chicago Bears -- the team his father, and namesake, played for.

He loved to tell a story. He loved to make people laugh. He had a heart of gold and would make the time to do anything for anyone. His friends were his chosen family.

He will be missed dearly. Dominic is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Chris, his daughters, Jaime (Scott) and Gina, his niece, Lauren, his grandchildren, Charlotte and Nathan, his brothers Billy and Philip and their families.

Friends may visit Friday, October 27th, after 4pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., D.C., where a vigil service will be held at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 28th, at 10am at St. Robert Church, 1380 Crystal Springs Rd., San Bruno. A reception will follow the Mass. Private family interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
