Jerri Ann Krames (Torres) née Bubert, born April 20, 1972 in Victoria, TX, was the youngest daughter of Jerry Arnold Bubert and Judith Ann Parr.

Jerri enjoyed a career in journalism, contributi­ng her talents to Worth Internatio­nal in Florida and Seminars Internatio­nal in Chicago where she was staff travel writer. In prior years she was an active volunteer, as Court Appointed Special Advocate of Nueces County and staff member of the Texas Women’s Shelter in Corpus Christi.

Jerri’s strong writing skills led to essay contest awards including the Zula Hill Blucher and Del Mar College Foundation scholarshi­ps. Jerri also had an interest in photograph­y, and was named Photograph­y Award Winner by the Texas Intercolle­giate Press Associatio­n. In 2004, Jerri moved to California to join Knight Ridder Digital and continued her education at Mission College and later California State University, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Environmen­tal Communicat­ion. She was also a starter on Mission’s Women’s Basketball Team.

Jerri married Robert Torres in 1996. They were companions for fifteen years and loved and raised their dog Lucy and cats Tinker and Princess Kitty.

Jerri met her husbandto-be, Michael Krames, in 2012, a time that Jerri remained active in journalism, writing blogs on various topics including travel which she and Michael dearly loved to share. Jerri and Michael were married at San Francisco City Hall on April 13, 2017.

Jerri is survived by her loving husband Michael, her three step-children (Aidan, Kyleigh, and Ragan) of Mountain View, CA; her brother-in-law and sister Robert and Nancy Gadbois, of Bremond, TX, and their children (Amanda, Melissa, Joshua, and Weston); her brother-in-law and sister Dennis and Jamie Mudd, of Baytown, TX, and their children (Galen, Shannon, Mary Frances, and Brandon); her mother, Judith Parr of Baytown; her father and step-mother, Jerry and Sally Bubert of Conroe, TX; step-sisters, Jennifer Stone of Dallas, TX, and Christy Pitner of Lubbock, TX; and half-sister, Suzanne Tremble of Longmeadow, MA. A private service was held this weekend in Bremond.
