Raymond E.(Ray) Cesano passed away October 21st 2017 after a tough battle with cancer during which he demonstrat­ed tremendous strength and courage. Ray grew up in South San Francisco. He graduated from All Souls School, SSFHS (class of 1971) and San Diego State University. His career was in the insurance industry. Most recently with Chubb Insurance for the past 20 years. Anyone who knew Ray knew him for his great knowledge in many topics. He loved to talk sports and other trivias at his favorite bar, Gino and Carlo in North Beach. He also enjoyed a good skins game playing golf with his friends. He had an unmistakab­le laugh and was just a great guy. The son of Michael and Irene Cesano and brother to Margaret Curseri Cesano of Florence Italy and Fred Cesano of Elk Grove Ca. Ray will be sorely missed by many, especially by his stepson Carlos Olvera, wife Maria Elena and sons Sebastian and Carlos Jr. Ray also leaves behind Francesco Curseri, Debbie Baptista his nephew Tony Cesano and nieces Mia Terrell and Valeria Giudici Curseri. Ray was a beloved member of the Raffo family and will be missed at the family gatherings. Also a special thank you to friend Lacy White and Dolores of Kaiser Hospice. Ray left us way too soon. A celebratio­n of Ray’s life will be held at the Italian Cemetery, 540 F St. Colma Ca. In the Skylight Chapel on Friday November 3rd at 11am.
