Charlie King, resident of San Francisco, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2017. He had strong family values, a great sense of humor, and was a successful independent businessman.

Charlie was born in small town in the Zhejiang Province of China. He came to the United States to start a new life. In 1956, Charlie graduated from the Pacific Radio School, with a certificate in Radio and Television Servicing. He worked for a television repair shop in Chinatown before opening his own shop. Charlie started his own business call Space TV Service on Polk Street, and then later moved it to the Marina District on Chestnut Street. Charlie worked very hard to keep his TV shop successful, until he retired in 1987.

Once retired, Charlie traveled the world with wife Rita to many parts of China. They enjoyed going to Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Las Vegas ( where they were married). Charlie enjoyed cooking the big family meals for the holidays. His specialty was making the Chinese Sticky Rice ( Nuomi Fan). No one could duplicate the delicious taste.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife Rita. He is survived by his daughter Wai Ling, son Anthony, stepsons Calvin, Arthur, Martin, and Winston, and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Funeral service Nov 04, 1: 00pm at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Newall Chapel, Colma California.
