Nidia Castro

Nidia Castro passed away peacefully in Fremont, CA on October 28, 2017 at the age of 91.

She was the dearly beloved wife of Rafael Castro for 55 yrs. Nidia Castro was the loving mother of Carlos Castro and Elizabeth Castro- Lipuma and the dearest Mother in law of Maria Castro and Tony Lipuma. She was the cherished grandmother of Carlos Castro II, Nidia Goodell, Bianca Martinez, Rafael Castro, Nicole Matteucci, Guillermo Castro, JoAnna Brignolo and great grandmother of Gabriela Castro, Izabella Castro, Guillermo Castro Jr., Luca Matteucci, Audriana Castro, Grace Goodell, Gregor Goodell, Nico Matteucci.

She was predeceased by her loving parents Guillermo Carballido and Elisa Carballido. She was the dear sister of the late Nena Carballido, late Guillermo Carballido and late Vilma Hoffman.

Nidia was a dedicated mother, Realtor and hairstylist. She will be remembered as a woman who loved to live life to the fullest. She loved having parties with family and friends. But above else, Nidia will be remembered for her million dollar smile.

Friends may visit Sunday, Nov. 5th, from 3pm to 8pm and are invited to attend a Vigil service 4pm at DUGGAN’S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 6th, 11am at Church of the Epiphany, 827 Vienna Street, San Francisco; Burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma.
