Cueto doesn’t opt out of deal, will stay a Giant

The shimmy is staying on the mound in San Francisco.

Pitcher Johnny Cueto elected not to opt out of his six-year, $130 million contract after two years, which was his right under the deal. His deadline to opt out and declare himself a free agent was 9 p.m. Saturday.

“Johnny is excited about remaining with the Giants and his goal remains to win a World Series in San Francisco,” Cueto's agent, Bryce Dixon, said via text.
