Nola B. Watson (Betty) was born in Berkeley, California on November 18, 1917 and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1939. While she was there she became a Che Omega sorority sister. In 1941, she married Samuel E. Watson, Jr. They went to Chile, South America for 5 years during WWII. From Chile they went to Cananea, Mexico where their daughter Susan was born. Upon returning to the USA, they purchased an acre of land in the Santa Rosa, CA hills and had a house built there. They lived there almost thirty years in retirement until 2003, when they moved to Brookdale Residential Facility in Vallejo, California. Samuel died in 2006, but Betty lived happily until she passed away on October 18, 2017, one month shy of her 100th birthday.

Betty will be missed and is survived by her daughter Susan of Brentwood, California and her son Sam in Brooklyn, New York.
