Connie Perino Goggio

September 19, 1924 - November 10, 2017

Connie passed away quietly and peacefully surrounded by friends and family. She was born in Arnold, Pennsylvania to Steve and Grace Cipolla and is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Dom Perino, her brothers, Buddy and Ronald.

Connie was sweetness itself and without exception loved by everyone she met.

She met her husband Ernest Goggio in 1978 and were married in 1980. Her life has been an exciting, happy and meaningful one. In her early years growing up in Pennsylvania she had many close friends and did very well in everything she took on: her school work, her social life and her early endeavors in singing, acting and especially her dancing. She sang on public radio, and did a weekly live radio talk show.

After she married, she became the ultimate hostess with her wonderful cooking and entertaining her many friends and husband’s business associates.

While visiting friends in Italy, she spent several weeks living as a student and became very proficient in Italian which she then could speak fluently for the rest of her life.

She traveled the world with husband and had a very active social life in San Francisco where she lived the rest of her life. She was very active in many charitable organizations: The Girls Town of Italy, the Child Abuse Prevention Center, and her special cause, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she served for many years as a trustee.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ernie Goggio, by children, Jay Perino, Lisa Perino Cybulski, EC Goggio, Alex Pulver (Melissa), grandchildren, Nicole, Allison, Rachel, Tristan and Aaron, sister, Dr. Mary Ellen Grasso, brother, Robert S. Cipolla, Sr, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was a very special person, who touched so many lives. Her family will miss here terribly, but her spirit will live on with all of us.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 17th, 2017 at 10:15am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 2320 Green St., at Steiner St., San Francisco. Private Entombment.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Child Abuse Prevention Center or the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
