Swift’s 2018 tour includes Levi’s
Taylor Swift is slated to return to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on May 12, as part of her “Reputation” world tour.
The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer announced the first round of dates for the 27-date trek in support of her sixth studio album on Monday, Nov. 13. The tour kicks off May 8 in Glendale, Ariz., and runs through Oct. 6 in Arlington, Texas.
More dates are expected to be announced soon.
Tickets, ranging from $55 to more than $350, go on sale to the general public on Dec. 13 — Swift’s 28th birthday.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is taking an extra step to make sure the tickets go into the hands of fans instead of scalpers and bots by using Ticketmaster’s new Verified Fan Program.
Fans who register at www.taylorswift.com can also gain higher priority for tickets by buying meras chandise, watching her music videos or following Swift’s social media accounts.
“Reputation,” which was released Friday, Nov. 10, sold 700,000 copies in its first day.
Some 50,000 fans turned out for Swift’s most recent Levi’s Stadium appearance, in 2015, when she was joined onstage by Julia Roberts and Joan Baez.
Swift’s only Bay Area live date this year is Dec. 2 at San Jose’s SAP Center, part of radio station 99.7 Now’s annual Poptopia holiday concert (previously known as the Triple Ho Show). Ed Sheeran, the Chainsmokers, Niall Horan, Khalid, Fifth Harmony, Logic and Dua Lipa are also on the bill.
