Goffin ousts Federer at ATP

Roger Federer looked to be cruising toward a shot at a seventh ATP Finals title. David Goffin had other ideas.

Goffin rallied in the semifinals to claim the biggest win of his career and stun the favorite 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the season-ending tournament in London.

His opponent Sunday in the final will be Grigor Dimitrov, who defeated Jack Sock 4-6, 6-0, 6-3. Soccer: Catching the Manchester City juggernaut is looking harder by the week in the English Premier League. The last unbeaten team, City remains eight points clear at the top after swatting aside Leicester 2-0 with goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kevin De Bruyne.

Second-place Manchester United came from behind against Newcastle, winning 4-1 as Paul Pogba scored in his return after two months on the sidelines.

Also, Eden Hazard scored for Chelsea in a 4-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion that kept the champions a point behind United; Arsenal beat fourth-place Tottenham 2-0; and Mohamed Salah scored twice as fifth-place Liverpool beat Southampto­n 3-0.

Luis Suarez scored twice to end a five-match scoring drought and help Spanish league leader Barcelona beat Leganes 3-0. Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid drew 0-0.

Edinson Cavani scored twice as unbeaten Paris Saint-Germain beat Nantes 4-1 and move six points clear at the top of the French league.

Robert Lewandowsk­i scored twice to help Bayern Munich stretch its lead in the Bundesliga to six points after beating Bavarian rival Augsburg 3-0. Baseball: The New York Yankees acquired 17-year-old Dominican prospect Juan Then and left-hander J.P. Sears from the Seattle Mariners for righthande­d reliever Nick Rumbelow.
