Josh Gordon

Suspended for the past two seasons, the Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver went through his first regular-season practice since Dec. 26, 2014, a significant moment in the comeback of one of the league’s most dynamic players from alcohol and marijuana issues. “This guy, he’s different,” Cleveland head coach Hue Jackson said. “It’s fun to talk about him right now. It’s fun to have a guy as talented as he is back on our football team . ... Let’s be honest, what this man has dealt with is a disease. It happens and it affects a lot of people in the world.” Gordon was conditionally reinstated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell this month. Gordon is eligible to play in Cleveland’s Dec. 3 game at the Chargers.

Luke Del Rio

The injured Florida quarterback has decided to end his “unique” college career. The son of Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio posted on his Twitter page that he will be participating in “Senior Day” activities before the team’s season finale Saturday against rival Florida State. Luke Del Rio is a fifth-year senior who had been granted a sixth year of eligibility, but said he has “enjoyed my unique college career and am excited for what’s next.” Del Rio began as a walk-on at Alabama in 2013, played three games at Oregon State in 2014, sat out the 2015 season after transferring to Florida and opened last year as the team’s starter. Injuries ended his 2016 and 2017 seasons.
