Westbrook, Thunder top gimpy Spurs

Russell Westbrook had his seventh triple-double of the season to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the shorthande­d San Antonio Spurs 90-87 on Sunday night.

Westbrook had 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the host Thunder. Steven Adams added 19 points and 10 rebounds for Oklahoma City, which won though No. 2 scorer Paul George had eight points on 2-for-17 shooting.

Dejounte Murray had 17 points for San Antonio. Trying to tie it at the end, Brandon Paul missed a three-pointer.

Spurs starters LaMarcus Aldridge and Tony Parker sat out. Coach Gregg Popovich said Aldridge rested with a minor knee issue and Parker was “dinged-up,” as was reserve forward Rudy Gay. Rockets 118, Lakers 95: James Harden scored 36 points, Eric Gordon added 22 and visiting Houston notched its seventh consecutiv­e victory. Chris Paul had 21 points for the Rockets, who have won 13 of 14 overall. Harden also had nine assists. Kyle Kuzma led Los Angeles with 22 points, and point again, with Brandon two guard shooting points Lonzo Ingram 0-for-4 and Ball three added struggled and assists. 18. finishing Rookie Magic scored 105, Knicks 34 points, 100: eight Nikola straight Vucevic in a decisive 10-0 fourth-quarter run, and visiting Orlando beat New York. With the score 85-85 midway through the fourth quarter, Vucevic made a short basket, a three-point play and a three-pointer to put the Magic ahead for good. Michael Beasley, replacing the injured Kristaps Porzingis in the starting lineup, led the Knicks with 21 points. Timberwolv­es 112, Clippers 106: Jimmy Butler scored 20 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, Taj Gibson added 20 and host Minnesota outlasted Los Angeles. The Wolves overcame 30 points from Austin Rivers, who hit seven three-pointers. His last three gave the Clippers a 92-91 lead with 6:54 left before Butler scored nine in a row.
