Raiders (6-8) at Eagles (12-2)

- — Matt Kawahara

When: 5:30 p.m. TV/Radio: ESPN/95.7, 98.5, 102.1

Spotlight on: Raiders left tackle. With Pro Bowler Donald Penn on injured reserve, what will the Raiders do here? Play Marshall Newhouse, with Vadal Alexander at right tackle? Or give rookie David Sharpe his first NFL start on “Monday Night Football” on the road against a good Philadelphia defensive line? Protecting Derek Carr’s blind side is key — his numbers have plummeted this season when under pressure.

Injury notes: Raiders — DL Mario Edwards Jr. (ankle) and DT Treyvon Hester (ankle) are out. CB David Amerson (foot) is doubtful. DL Denico Autry (hand/ankle), WR Amari Cooper (ankle), C Rodney Hudson (ankle/illness), LB Bruce Irvin (concussion), S Keith McGill (knee/illness) and CB Dexter McDonald (knee) are questionable. Eagles — CB Jalen Mills (ankle), LB Mychal Kendricks (foot) and G Stefen Wisniewski (ankle) are questionable.

THE BIG 3

The Eagles began the weekend ranked fourth in the NFL with a plus-9 turnover margin. The Raiders were 27th at minus-9. After no interceptions in the first 10 games, though, Oakland’s defense has four in the past four weeks.

The Raiders are hurting. Center Rodney Hudson is still recovering from playing through a kidney stone a week ago Sunday against Dallas. Both of his backups were on practice squads a week ago. Linebacker Bruce Irvin was still in concussion protocol Saturday. Receiver Amari Cooper will try to return from an ankle injury.

This game features two of the league’s more physical running backs in Oakland’s Marshawn Lynch and Philadelphia’s LeGarrette Blount. Gusty winds in the forecast could lead both teams to rely on their running games. The Raiders began the weekend ranked 25th at 93.7 yards per game; the Eagles were second at 140.5.
