Born Dec. 21, 1932, in San Francisco, to Peter and Anna Morelli. She was educated at Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco, and earned her BA and MA in Education at Stanford University.

She married Robert D. Hoffman in 1954. They lived in Ventura, then moved to Bakersfiel­d in 1958. There she raised 5 children and volunteere­d with numerous organizati­ons that reflect her dedication to service and lifelong learning, including the PTA, Junior League, Kern County Museum, CALM (California Living Museum) and P.E.O.

She and Bob recently relocated to Northern California and resided in Burlingame at the time of her death.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Robert, children Laurel Winzler, Susan Hoffman (Richard Beck), Diana Oertel (Terry), Steven Hoffman, and Mark Hoffman (Jeanette). She leaves grandchild­ren Jeffrey Oertel and Isabella and Grant Hoffman, as well as her brother, Bruno Morelli, his wife Mary, and their 5 children. She is also survived by numerous cousins in Italy.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic’s Church in San Francisco. Internment will be private.
