The Road to Recovery

-

Thanks to the sacrifices and heroism of first responders, the Northern California fires are out.

Following the first responders, 4,300 Pacific Gas and Electric Company linemen, gas workers, engineers, troubleshooters and other skilled professionals worked to restore power and gas service.

Now the recovery begins.

To speed local recovery efforts, we are waiving all costs of installing temporary power as customers start to rebuild. We have suspended all bills for those who have lost their homes and businesses in the fires.

To address the needs of local first responders, we are providing grants to ensure that they have the training, support and equipment critical to keeping us all safe.

As part of our larger commitment to all those impacted, we are working with the North Bay Fire Relief Fund, a community partnership, assisting victims in recovery efforts.

Now, more than ever, we must be there for our friends, neighbors and employees who call Northern California their home.

Our priorities going forward must focus on finding solutions and determining what we all can do to prepare for the effects of natural disasters, emergencies and extreme weather events.

No one can lead this effort alone. But we at PG&E are ready to work every day with our partners to rebuild.

The people impacted by the Northern California fires are our employees, friends and neighbors. Our message to the community and our customers is a simple one: no matter how long it takes, we will be there with you.
