March 13, 1922 - December 26, 2017

Winnie Ann Biocini, loved and cherished by many, passed away peacefully in her home in the company of family on December 26, 2017 at age 95. Winnie lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her unique spirit, vivacious nature, generosity, love, laughter, devotion to friends and family and great zest for life.

Winnie was born in San Francisco to Ana Cvitanich Eterovich and Ivan Eterovich, Croatian immigrants from the island of Brac’, where she lived with her 2 brothers and 2 sisters in their home on Mission Street. Winnie graduated from Girls High, attended San Francisco State College, fell in love with George Joseph Biocini and married in 1941. They moved to the Peninsula and raised their three daughters in San Carlos, Redwood City, Menlo Park and finally Los Altos where they spent their last 35 years. Winnie and George made life long friends wherever they lived including their vacation home in Palm Desert.

Winnie became a Real Estate broker in the early 1950’s, which at the time, was a male dominated profession and went on to build a successful career spanning 50 years as Winnie Biocini Realty, selling homes into her 80’s with Robinson & Co. She was an active member of Peninsula Volunteers and for the last 9 years sat on the Board of Directors for the Sequoia Hospital Foundation.

Everywhere Winnie went her beauty and sparkle attracted attention. As early as age 18 she was voted runner up to Miss San Francisco and was still turning heads in her 90’s with her charm, style and high heels. Winnie and George’s dynamic partnership created a large community of friends and family who filled their home with fun and laughter during their many fabulous parties. In 2012, together with 230 guests, they celebrated 71 years of marriage.

Winnie is survived by daughters Linda Schneller (Chad), Peggy Biocini, Georgia Watson (Chris); grandchildren Stacey Schneller, Cas Schneller (Missy), Jennifer Accola (Arend), Heather Volkman (Ben), Ashley Watson; great-grandchildren Jackson, Mila, Audrey and Sabrina Schneller; Bella, Mackenzie and Parker Volkman; Emma, Ava and Isla Accola; her sister Frances Bulanti, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George, brothers John and Adam, sister Katie and brother-in-law Charles Bulanti.
