Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Garibaldi

May 25, 1940 - January 3, 2018

Jackie passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018, with her family by her side after several years bravely battling cancer, at the age of 77.

A long-time peninsula resident Jackie was born at Hoover Hospital and grew up in Menlo Park attending Menlo Atherton High School, graduating in 1958. Throughout the years, Jackie worked in a variety of positions at Stanford Hospital always bringing a smile to her patients’ faces. After leaving Stanford she continued her love of caring for others by helping elders in the community. Caring for others and walking dogs at the Forum was always time well spent as she brought joy to those she touched.

Jackie’s true passion was spending time taking care of her grandchildren, always up for a good laugh, playing games, or taking them on walks. She loved hearing what they were up to, how they were excelling in school, sports, and life. A beautiful and touching moment recently was when Jackie was able to meet her great-granddaughter for the first time. A proud grandmother she was... big heart, full of love for her family.

Besides her family another great passion of Jackie’s was listening to and attending Grateful Dead shows. Her first show was at the Frost Amphitheater which ignited her passion, and this past summer she was thrilled to see Dead and Company at Shoreline.

Jackie was the daughter of the late Peter Gerbo and Josephine Marie Gerbo. She is survived by her son, Scott (Johana), daughter Shelley (Mike); grandchildren Ashley, Danielle, Turner, Derek, Logan, Matthew; greatgranddaughter Aubrey; loving and devoted sister, Therese and nephew Dennis (Diane).

Friends and Family are invited to a Funeral Service on Wednesday, Jan 10 at 11:00 am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at All Saints Chapel, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos, CA 94024.
