John Andrew Flynn, 62, passed away at his home in Sun City, CA, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at the age of 62. John is survived by his loving wife Lori of 26 years. John was predeceased by his father (Henry Flynn) and beloved aunts, Mae and Marie Brien. John is lovingly remembered by his mother, Frances I. Flynn, as well as 9 brothers and sisters (Henry Jr., Felix, Marian, Brian, Frances, Michael, James, Therese, and Margaret) and 19 nieces and nephews.

John was a constant companion to movies, concerts, sporting events, and shared his love of the “crack of the bat” with all. A loving and caring son, the best big brother to ride a roller coaster with, a blue sky approach to life, a friend and protector to all. He will be deeply missed.

John was born December 19, 1955, in San Francisco, CA, attended Star of the Sea grammar school, graduated from Sacred Heart High School (San Francisco) in 1974, and attended City College of San Francisco, studying mechanical drawing and real estate. An avid reader, John was well versed on a variety of subjects, but his love of nature was his strength. After a distinguished career as a real estate appraiser, John served as a dedicated team member for many years at Clancy’s Pumpkin and Christmas Tree Lot on 7th and Judah in the City, an opportunity for which John was very grateful. John was well known by all of his customers for his insights on nature, his “sunny side of life “outlook, his customer focus and his warm smile. A devoted husband, John was the love of Lori’s life, and from the moment they met 30 years ago, they were inseparable.

Visitation will be Thursday, Jan 18, 2018, 6 PM, and the Rosary at 7:00 PM at the Evergreen Mortuary of McAvoy O’Hara Co, Evergreen Mortuary, (Geary Blvd at 10th Ave), S. F, CA. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Jan 19, 2018, at 9 AM at Star of the Sea Church, 4420 Geary Blvd, (at 8th Ave), San Francisco, CA, 94118.

Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Rd, Colma, CA, 94014.
