-

Past Olympic medalists Lindsey Vonn, Mikaela Shiffrin, Ted Ligety and Andrew Weibrecht are among the 22 ski racers named to the U.S. Alpine team heading to the Pyeongchang Games.

U.S. Ski and Snowboard announced the roster Wednesday.

Three California-based skiers made the team — Bryce Bennett (Squaw Valley) and Mark Engel (Truckee) are on the 13-member men’s team and Stacy Cook (Mammoth Lakes) made the nine-member women’s team. Also, Reno’s Tim Jitloff was named to the men’s team.

Vonn won a downhill gold and super-G bronze at the 2010 Vancouver Games, then sat out the Sochi Olympics four years later because of a knee injury. Shiffrin won a slalom gold in 2014, while Ligety owns two golds and Weibrecht has one silver and one bronze. The Olympics open Feb. 9 in South Korea. Twelve North Korean female hockey players crossed the heavily fortified border into South Korea on Thursday to form the rivals’ firstever unified Olympic team.
