HOW TO GET THERE

From Peninsula: Take Interstate 280 north to Daly City, continue to the split with Highway 1, Exit 49B. Stay left at the split and continue north a half-mile into San Francisco. Continue ahead 7.4 miles (becomes 19th Avenue, still Highway 1) through Golden Gate Park and continue past Lake Street, through the tunnel and merge with U.S. 101 North (get in right lane). Continue to the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge and Exit 439 (signed Presidio/Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point). Take that exit and continue a short distance to the access road on the left to parking and Vista Point.

From East Bay: Take the Bay Bridge to San Francisco (get in right lane) and to Exit 2C for Fremont Street. Take that exit for 0.3 of a mile and merge onto Fremont and go another 0.3 of a mile, continue ahead onto Front Street (across Market Street, downtown San Francisco) and a short distance to Pine Street. Turn left on Pine and drive 1.4 miles to Franklin. Turn right on Franklin and drive 0.8 of a mile to Lombard/U.S. 101. Turn left on Lombard and drive 3 miles (signed U.S. 101) toward Golden Gate Bridge and to exit (get in right lane) for Presidio/Golden Gate Bridge Vista Point. Take that exit and continue a short distance to the access road on the left to parking and Vista Point.

From Marin: Take U.S. 101 south to Golden Gate Bridge and continue 2 miles (across the bridge) to Exit 439 (signed toward 25th Avenue). Take that exit and drive a short distance to Cranston. Turn right and Vista Point will be on the left.

Distances: 4 miles from San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, 5 miles from Sausalito, 13 miles from San Rafael, 16 miles from central Pacifica, 29 miles from Walnut Creek, 32 miles from Woodside.
