Sharon Winn Glass

Sharon Winn Glass passed peacefully at her home in El Granada on February 1st, 2018 after a long courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on March 8, 1951 in Ohio and moved to California with her family as a young girl. Sharon attended Woodside High School where she proudly graduated in 1969. After high school, Sharon went on to serve in the US Army. Following her time in the service she began her 30-year career working for the County of San Mateo, serving her last 15 years as a court clerk. Sharon met the love of her life, Mike, through their network of friends in 1979. The two were married in 1986 in Redwood City. They were residents of Tracy, CA for 23 years until they moved to the coastside in 2006.

Sharon was a long-standing, dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She was beloved by her fellow members and served as the Worthy Matron of both the Palo Alto (2017) & Tracy (1993) chapters. Sharon was an avid seamstress and hobbyist who could master any project. She will always be remembered for the personalized embroidered aprons she crafted for her fellow kitchen staff at the annual La Honda Fire Brigade Crab Cioppino and for her generous and loving spirit.

Sharon will forever be in the hearts of her husband of 32 years, Michael Glass, son William Leiter (Amy), sister Kathy McCloud (Dennis), sister in law & brother in law Sharon & Bob Dooley, Grandsons Alexander & Jason Leiter, Nephew and Nieces Eric & Caitlin Dooley, Kimberly McCloud, GreatNiece, Hailey Silva

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Rd, Redwood City.
