Brother Conrad J. Kearney, (Brother Conrad of Jesus) F.S.C. died peacefully at the age of 98 on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Mont La Salle’s Holy Family Community after a lengthy illness. Brother Conrad was born in New York City in 1919, where he attended Saint Bernard’s Grammar School. He entered the Juniorate of Brothers of the Christian Schools at Barrytown, New York and received the Religious Habit in 1936. His tour of duty included LaSalle Academy, New York City, Christian Brothers Academy, Albany, New York, Bishop Armstrong High School, Sacramento, Garces Memorial High School, Bakersfiel­d, and of course, his beloved Justin-Siena High School, Napa. His total dedication to the Brothers and to education showed that he was very much loved, honored, and respected.

Brother Conrad was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Caroline, his sister, Helen, and his brothers, Daniel and Edward. He is survived by his sisters-inlaw: Mary of Commack, New York; and Camille of Silver Spring, Maryland. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephe­ws and grandniece­s.

The viewing will occur on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:15 AM in the Rotunda of the Main Chapel at Mont LaSalle, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM in the Main Chapel. This will be immediatel­y followed by interment in the Brothers’ Cemetery.
