SENREVE OPENS A SLEEK S.F. SHOWROOM.

- By Anna Volpicelli — Anna Volpicelli

Senreve’s new showroom reflects the qualities of its handbags: refined, minimal and functional. The space is designed as a private living room with the signature bags replacing a collection of books on its white shelves.

Launched at the end of 2016 by fashion entrepreneurs Coral Chung and Wendy Wen with the Maestra and the Doctor bags, the company has grown quickly in less than two years.

Natural light flooding in from the floorto-ceiling window enhances the 18-item spring-summer collection of Italian leather bags that exhibit chic playfulness and creative functionality. Displayed on the large white marble table at the center of the room, the comfortable and girly Crossbody is ready to try on. The bag comes with a swappable chain and leather straps, a paneled medium clutches and a removable Bracelet Pouch, which can be monogrammed.

The Mini-Maestra is the heroine, in all its elegant colors. The latest Mimosa Lilac is placed next to the limited-edition Merlot and the Merlot Calf Hair Mini Maestra, which the brand jokingly refers to as “red velvet.”

“The showroom in San Francisco is our first physical location,” says co-founder Chung of the direct-to-consumer company. “Many customers were wanting to see and touch our products, and we wanted to create a modern luxury shopping experience for them — online and offline.”

Close to Union Square, the space is open only by appointment. “We picked a centrally located place convenient for lunchtime or after-work shopping, and appropriate for an elevated brand,” Chung said.

“Our goal with the new location is to offer to each customer an individualized experience. Customers will be able to see our full range of latest styles as well as experience intimate one-on-one styling, add-on services like monogramming, and enjoy champagne and snacks while shopping,” Chung said.

During the year, the showroom will host a series of women’s panels and talks on topics such as fashion, career and lifestyle, with the aim of inspiring women to pursue their talent and passions with determination, while embracing their femininity.
