-

Our loving mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother passed away peacefully on February 2, 2018. Juanita was born on August 21, 1927, the only child to Anita L Budde and Juan Azori. Devoted wife to the late Allan B Gallagher (2002), and predeceased by her son Michael H. Gallagher (2011). She is survived by her children, Kathy (Mike), Linda (Seth), Allan (Petula) and John, 11 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren.

A native San Franciscan, Juanita attended Immaculate Conception Academy, met our Dad and celebrated 55 years together. First and foremost she was a talented homemaker raising 5 children in the Sunset and the Castro. She was active at Most Holy Redeemer school and still managed to fit in part-time work as a PBX operator at the Progress newspaper. In their retirement years they moved to San Rafael, worked together with Demonstrations Unlimited and loved traveling with friends. Over the years Mom devoted many hours at the St. Raphael Mission Gift Shop. Mom was a social bug who belonged to various groups after our Dad passed, such as the Widower’s group, Goldenaires, Bocce, Bookclub, and Mah Jong. She will be remembered for her gracious style, her strong personality, her great generosity, and her love for her family.

A private burial has been arranged. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 10th at 11:00 am at the St Raphael Mission Church in San Rafael. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony Foundation at 150 Golden Gate Ave, SF 94102 or Boys Town 200 Flanagan Blvd, Boys Town NE 68010.
