Virginia is the unquestion­ed No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25.

The Cavaliers earned all 65 first-place votes in Monday’s poll after finishing four games ahead of the field in the ACC regular-season race. This is Virginia’s fourth straight week at No. 1. St. Mary’s moved up two spots to No. 20.

Virginia joined fellow ACC team Duke as teams to be unanimous No. 1 this season. Pretty good for a team that was picked to finish sixth in the ACC.

The Cavaliers (28-2, 17-1 ACC) open ACC tournament play in Thursday’s quarterfin­als in Brooklyn.

Villanova moved to No. 2 from No. 4 and was followed by Xavier and Michigan State.

Duke is fifth, followed by Gonzaga and Michigan — which jumped eight spots to No. 7 after beating the Spartans and Purdue to win a second straight Big Ten tournament title. Women UConn extended its run at

Stanford, which lost to Oregon in the Pac-12 title game Sunday night, moved up one spot to No. 15. No. 1. The Huskies (30-0) have been the unanimous top choice all season from the 32-member media panel. The Huskies are 100-0 against AAC opponents since the formation of the conference, 86-0 in regular-season games and 14-0 in the conference tournament after routing Cincinnati 75-21 in the conference semifinals Monday night in Uncasville, Conn.

Baylor moved up to second and Louisville third after thenNo. 2 Mississipp­i State lost to South Carolina in the SEC title game. The Bulldogs slipped to fourth. Notre Dame was fifth.
