Spring performanc­es set

Many noteworthy acts are coming to Northern California and Lake Tahoe casinos this spring, with Cache Creek upping its game with top-tier performers such as Boz Scaggs and Dionne Warwick, while Thunder Valley features a mix of veteran musicians and a comedian.

Here are the highlights:

Cache Creek Casino Resort

Located in Brooks, this casino features Brian McKnight on Friday, March 9; Chiquis Rivera on Saturday, March 10; and Dionne Warwick, the legendary singer of “Do You Know the Way to San Jose,” on March 17. Blues crooner Boz Scaggs performs on March 31, and Jeffrey Osborne takes the stage April 7.

Blue Oyster Cult, a hard-rock band that reached its apex in the late ’70s with “Don’t Fear the Reaper,” plays on April 21, with a couple of softer bands following: Rick Springfiel­d on April 28 and Air Supply on May 4 and 5. The Isley Brothers, whose first hit, “Shout,” dates to 1959, play June 15.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort

East of Sacramento in Lincoln, Thunder Valley hosts rock band Night Ranger on March 16 and songbirds Wilson Phillips on March 30. A trio, Wilson Phillips descends from rock royalty: Two of the women are daughters of Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson and the third is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas & the Papas. Hard rock returns April 14 when Bay Area band Y&T takes the stage. Comedian Dane Cook performs June 15.

River Rock Casino

In Geyservill­e north of Santa Rosa, this casino features the Anna Kristina Band on Saturday, March 10; the Blackhorse Blues Band on March 17, and the California Cowboys on March 31.

Graton Resort & Casino

This Vegas-style casino in Rohnert Park, about 45 miles north of San Francisco, doesn’t have many concerts but is featuring Latin artist Pancho Barraza on March 16 and has scheduled Willie Nelson & Family for Oct. 17 (plan ahead for this one as it’ll likely sell out fast).

Harrah’s Lake Tahoe

The South Shore Room has booked the Psychedeli­c Furs for Saturday, March 10, Umphrey’s McGee on March 22, and 38 Special on March 24. Comedian and elder statesman Bob Newhart is scheduled to perform May 26.

MontBleu Resort, Casino & Spa

Actor-comedian Rob Schneider brings his political satire, “An Evening of Lies,” to this casino near South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, March 10, while the Ireland-influenced band Flogging Molly is set to perform March 23.
