Margaret Dolores Sehorn passed into the arms of the Lord at the age of 104 on March 1, 2018 with her daughters by her side. Margaret was blessed with three daughters, Gloria Hickey deceased (Bill), Joanne Cooper (Jim), Peggy Bigarani (Bill). Margaret was a devoted grandmother to Tom Cooper (Heather), John Cooper (Amy), Chris Cooper (Emily), Jennifer Hickey, Amber Brosnan (Niall), Matt Bigarani (Becca), Ryan Bigarani, and adoring G.G. to Shane, Clayton, Grace, Ashley, Grant, Eden, Nicholas, Alex, Keara, Matthew, Caden and Lucas.

Margaret was born, (fourth of six children) to Alexander and Mae McIntosh of San Francisco, Ca. Her parents owned a thriving grocery store on the corner of 12th and Irving. Margaret attended St. Anne’s grammar school and St. Rose Academy. Her early work history included being a secretary to Mr. Sutro. This is where she met her husband, George, who was a swimming instructor at the Sutro Baths. While raising her family, Margaret worked for Hobbs Wall Lumber Co. and then spent many years in Medical Accounting for the City and Co. of San Francisco. When Margaret retired from the City, she began a 19-year long period of volunteer work as a “Pink Lady” for Kaiser Hospital in S.F. She lived at home independently until 101 years of age. Margaret lived out her final years in the wonderful and loving hands of Sunrise Villa Sonoma.

Margaret was an extraordinary woman! Margaret had a passion for the written word and enjoyed many hours of reading. In her later years, she became quite adventurous and would attempt things that people half her age would balk at. Margaret was quick witted and had a saying for just about everything.

She left this world feeling so proud of her children, grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. A private memorial service is planned. Donations in Margaret’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
