Endless Light: Elbo Room is hosting an incredible lineup of some of the Bay Area’s most promising queer electronic musicians. The performers on tap dip into everything from the atmospheri­c to dark, techno beats. The event, “Endless Light,” is happening on a Sunday, March 18, sure, but it starts early and ends by midnight, so you shouldn’t lose too much sleep. 8 p.m. to midnight, Sunday, March 18. $10. This week it’s “Daytime Realness,” the poison of choice for queers who like to dance in the sun to everything from house and techno to pop and electronic jams. Chulita Vinyl Club: The local chapter of the Chulita Vinyl Club — “an all-girl all-vinyl club for self-identifyin­g womxn of color in the context of providing a space for empowermen­t and togetherne­ss” — is taking over the Make-Out Room. Hooded, or Being Black

for Dummies: The first West Coast production of Tearrance Arvelle Chisholm’s play “Hooded, Or Being Black for Dummies,” begins another weekend of showings. The play, in which Chisholm takes a darkly comedic look at the many ways of being black in America and ever-present anti-black racism, is not one to miss. 8 p.m. Thursday, March 22. $25. Custom Made Theatre, S.F. www.custommade.org Cocktails for a Cause: For a while now, Virgil’s Sea Room has been dedicating Wednesday happy hours to community nonprofits. They call the event “Cocktails for a Cause” and for each speciality cocktail ordered (it changes weekly), the bar donates a portion to a specific organizati­on.
