Quakes draw at Philly

Magnus Eriksson gave the Earthquake­s the lead with his first career Major League Soccer goal, but U.S. national team midfielder Alejandro Bedoya tied it for host Philadelph­ia in the 64th minute and the Union held on for a 1-1 draw.

Eriksson, who led Sweden’s top league with 14 goals in 2017, received a perfect feed from Danny Hoesen at the top of the 18-yard box for the Quakes (1-2-1).

But Bedoya found an open lane at the far post and got his head on the end of Fabrice-Jean Picault’s cross for the tying goal. It was Bedoya’s first of the season for the Union (1-1-2).

In other MLS games, Miguel Almiron had two goals and one assist, helping host Atlanta United beat Los Angeles FC 5-0 for its fourth consecutiv­e victory . ... Cristian Colman’s header tied it in the 89th minute and host FC Dallas salvaged a 1-1 draw against the Colorado Rapids . ... Nemanja Nikolic scored after pouncing on a defensive miscue in the 27th minute to help the host Chicago Fire beat the Columbus Crew 1-0.

England: Manchester United delayed the Premier League title celebratio­ns of fierce rival Manchester City after coming from two goals down to prevail on the road 3-2.

Manchester City seemingly toyed with second-place United in the first half, as Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan scored goals.

But after halftime, United’s Paul Pogba took over, finishing off a flowing team move in the 53rd minute before tying it two minutes later on a header from Alexis Sanchez’s cross. Chris Smalling scored the winning goal by volleying in Sanchez’s free kick in the 69th minute.

In the Merseyside derby, Liverpool and host Everton played to a 0-0 draw. Also, Tottenham moved into a thirdplace tie with Liverpool as Christian Eriksen scored twice in a 2-1 win at Stoke.

Germany: Bayern Munich won its record-extending sixth consecutiv­e Bundesliga title. A 4-1 win at Augsburg 4-1 sealed its record 28th German championsh­ip dating to 1932.
