John Alfred Morch

John Alfred Morch, aged 69, died in San Bruno, CA on April 3, 2018. John was born in San Francisco in 1948. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Maria (Tadas), grandchildren Lukas and Stella, sisters MaryAnne (Steve), Margarite, Elaine (Bob), and extended family. He also leaves behind a loving group of longtime neighbors and friends. John was a grateful friend of Bill W. for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Leah Morch, and his brothers Terry and Joe.

Though he had a lifelong work history, his constant passion was classic car restoration, while he spent much of his quiet time reading.

John’s final days were dark and he took his own life when he saw no other way out. For that we are broken-hearted, but his daughter and sisters like to picture him walking into Heaven with that very distinctive swagger. If you knew John at all, you’d know what they’re talking about.

Friends may visit Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City where a Vigil Service will begin at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 11th at 11:00am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 221 Valley St. in San Francisco. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
