The catch of the day is the HBO documentar­y on

“Andre the Giant,” the profession­al wrestler and actor who died in 1993. The film looks at his life and career and airs at 10 p.m. Netflix offers the standup special “Greg Davies: You Magnificen­t Beast,” available for streaming today. “America’s Next Top Model” will be chosen in the show’s 24th season ender at 8 p.m. on VH1. Discovery airs a “Deadliest Catch” special at 8 p.m. called “Live From the Docks.” It will be followed by the two-hour season premiere of “Deadliest Catch” at 9. He’s still standing, except when he’s at the piano, and then he’s still sitting. CBS airs a twohour special honoring Elton John with “I’m Still Standing: A Grammy Salute” at 9 p.m. She’s not so new anymore, but still fresh as a daisy after six seasons: “New Girl,” with Zooey Deschanel, launches season seven at 9:30 p.m. on Fox. “Frontline” probes

“Trump’s Takeover ”at10 p.m. on KQED, focusing on Trump’s battle for control of the Republican Party and the increased divisivene­ss in the country. Erica Ash stars on “In Contempt,” a new drama on BET about an especially committed public defender, premiering at 10 p.m. A new episode of “Returning the Favor ”is available today on Facebook Watch, as the team heads to Louisiana to talk to Dwayne “Prince” Holmes and members of his group Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, dedicated to the ongoing effort to rebuild New Orleans after Katrina.
