PSG, Man City clinch titles

It was a coronation in the French capital as Paris Saint-Germain scored four times in the first 28 minutes and clinched the French league title with five games to play by beating defending champion Monaco 7-1. PSG won its fifth title in six seasons. Monaco said after the game on Twitter that it will reimburse fans who traveled to the game in Paris for the cost of their tickets.

Meanwhile, Manchester City clinched the English Premier League title without playing when Manchester United, its nearest challenger, lost 1-0 at home to last-place West Bromwich Albion. It was City’s fifth title and third in seven seasons and easily its most convincing, with Pep Guardiola’s team 16 points ahead with five games to play this season.

In MLS, Graham Zusi and Ilie Sanchez scored to help host Sporting Kansas City tie Seattle 2-2 . ... Alexander Ring scored his first MLS goal to help visiting New York City FC tie Atlanta 2-2.

NFL: The Philadelph­ia Eagles released cornerback Daryl Worley hours after he was arrested. NFL Network reported that Worley was arrested Sunday morning near the team’s practice facility and that police used a Taser on him after he became combative. The report also said a gun was found in Worley’s vehicle.

College baseball: No. 3 Stanford (27-5, 9-3 Pac-12) completed a three-game sweep of Arizona State (14-22, 6-9) with a 10-3 decision at Sunken Diamond. The Cardinal’s Nico Hoerner had three hits and three RBIs . ... Benji Post’s wild pitch with one out in the 11th inning enabled host Loyola Marymount (17-18, 10-5 WCC) to score the winning run in a 4-3 decision over USF (20-16, 10-5). The Lions completed a three-game sweep and moved into a tie for first with the Dons.

Tennis: Steve Johnson beat first-time ATP Tour finalist Tennys Sandgren 7-6 (2), 2-6, 6-4 in Houston to become the first player to successful­ly defend the U.S. Men’s Clay Court title in 16 years.
