The first season of the French thriller “The Chalet” is available on Netflix today. Also on Netflix is a two-for-one standup special, “The Honeymoon Standup Special: Collection,” starring a couple of comics who are great on their own and just as great together — onstage and off. The married couple, Moshe Kasher and Natasha Leggero, do their individual things and then team up to share the stage in a show filmed live in Texas. The soup of the day is the premiere of the PBS series “Civilizati­ons,” created with the BBC, airing on KQED at 8 p.m. Narrated by Liev Schreiber, the docuseries is inspired by the 1969 series “Civilisati­on,” by Sir Kenneth Clark. The new series focuses on the evolution of art from the dawn of humanity until the present day. Simon Schama, Mary Beard and David Olusoga are the primary contributo­rs to the series’ nine episodes. “Bong Appetit” airs at 7 p.m. on Viceland with the episode titled, “Bong Appetit Gets Baked.”

The Discovery Channel airs the special “Deadliest Catch: Live Revenge at the Docks” at 8 p.m. ABC airs a new episode of“Alex Inc.,” with Zach Braff, on a special night at 8:30 p.m. Members of the band Styx sit down for “The Big Interview with Dan Rather ”on AXS TV at 9 p.m. The first season of the CW hit “Black Lightning” wraps at 9 p.m. The History Channel premieres “Forged in Fire: Knife of Death,” hosted by WWE’s Bill Goldberg and airing at 10 p.m. The sixepisode series features competitor­s whose bladewield­ing skills are put to the test through a variety of challenges including flying watermelon­s, ropes, metal and all kinds of things.
