Skyrocketing rents have buyers looking ‘Beyond the Bay’ for homes

-

Chaparral at Blackstone in El Dorado Hills by The New Home Company will release its final phase of spacious, single-family residences on Saturday, May 12.

As rents and cost of living continue to skyrocket in the Bay Area, an increasing number of home shoppers who have been priced out of the San Francisco and Oakland markets, as well as Silicon Valley, are searching elsewhere for more attainable options that showcase more space, lifestyle amenities and easy access to great public schools.

With high paying jobs and limited supply of homes in the San Francisco Bay Area, experts anticipate that the market will continue to see price increases. And with rents continuing to soar (the average rent for a two-bedroom apartment in the Bay Area is averaging $4,500 per month), the region has become less realistic for many young professionals, growing families and even retirees who want to stay there and purchase a home.

Last year, the Bay Area Council conducted a study that found approximately 40 percent of people surveyed plan to leave the Bay Area in the next few years. Based on statistics from Redfin, the residential real estate company that provides web-based real estate data and brokerage services, the Sacramento market is a top destination, with more than 20 percent of its Bay Area users searching for homes there.

With these factors top of mind, New Home is proud to present Chaparral, an award-winning new neighborhood of single-family residences in the celebrated master-planned community of Blackstone in El Dorado Hills.

Chaparral will release its final phase of residences on Saturday, May 12. This is one of the last opportunities to purchase a spacious, single-family home designed by JZMK Partners at Chaparral.

The final homes feature up to 2,422 square feet of seamless indoor/outdoor living spaces with up to five bedrooms and three baths. An on-site Design Studio also allows interested home buyers to partner with designers to personalize their home. Final residences are now selling from the high $400,000s to low $500,000s.

Chaparral’s sales gallery and three model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday. For more information or to view floor plans, map and driving directions, please call a sales manager at (916) 597-2761 or visit www. ChaparralLiving.com.
