William “Bill” Yuen

September 22, 1929 – May 12, 2018

-

Bill died, as he lived, in the company of friends. As church members gathered in his room to pray and sing songs of resurrection, Bill left this life and went to be with God. He was sent out with song and was received on the other side with God’s welcome and even more heavenly music!

Born and raised in San Francisco, Bill spent his whole life here--raising his family, working at J.H. Baxter and Company, and participating as a member of Grace Fellowship Community Church. His 88 years of life leave a deep imprint on many people--young and old--who will remember Bill for his faithfulness, wisdom, humility and generous service.

Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Minnie, and their daughters, Sharon (Dick) Huey and Patti (Norman) Hom. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to Megan (Bill) McCabe, Kelly Huey, Jason Hom and Nicholas (Ana) Hom.

“A Service of Witness to the Resurrection” will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 201 Eucalyptus Dr. in San Francisco; a viewing will be held earlier from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in Bill’s name to Grace Fellowship Community Church, 3265 16th St. San Francisco, 94103, where funds will be directed towards work with children, immigrants and the elderly, all of whom were dear to his heart.
