Newly built townhouses in Bayview-Hunters Point offer modern amenities.
The future of luxury living continues to rise on the shores of Bayview Hunters Point.
Found on the grounds of an old naval site in the southeastern corner of the city, the mixed-use development features a wealth of opportunities for anyone looking for brand-new high-end homes in the city by the bay.
“This is going to be San Francisco’s next area for highly sought-after luxury living,” said Garrett Chan, vice president of sales and marketing for Lennar Homes, a company building hundreds of residences at the site.
Palisades, a collection of luxury townhomes built by Lennar, highlights the company’s latest offerings at the development known as The San Francisco Shipyard. Townhomes in the Palisades collection feature elegant, light-filled residences with gourmet kitchens, roof decks and state-of-the-art smart
home automation.
“These luxury townhomes offer a spacious three-story open floor plan with private entrances, a two-bay garage and breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay, downtown’s skyline, the Oakland Hills and the peninsula,” Chan said.
A wealth of high-end details embody every Palisades townhome. Kitchens feature stainless steel Bosch appliances and quartz counters, while master suites step out to private decks through sliding glass doors. The suite’s boast spa bathrooms with soaking tubs and frameless glass showers with rainfall shower heads.
Technology abounds within the townhomes, and Lennar prides itself on providing residents reliable connectivity on every floor. This
is achieved through built-in wireless access points that eliminate dead zones. It’s part of Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” program, which utilizes technology like Amazon Alexa, allowing residents to operate the lights, unlock the front door, set the thermostat and control their entertainment systems with voice commands or with their smartphone.
“The ‘Everything’s Included’ package is designed to provide a connected lifestyle that’s easy, providing homeowners more control and convenience than ever,” Chan said.
Lennar embraces the “Wi-Fi CERTIFIED”

home design program established by the Wi-Fi Alliances, a global network of companies focused on the adoption and evolution of wireless connectivity. The idea revolves around homes providing premier smart and streaming capabilities as new technologies arrive on the market.
The Palisades community is merely one part of the 750-acre mixed-use project at The San Francisco Shipyard, and its sister community Candlestick, that will offer approximately 12,000 homes and 1.05 million square feet of retail amid more than 5 million square feet of office and research and development space.
In addition to Palisades, Lennar is also selling one- to three-bedroom condominiums at its Monarch and Engel developments, ranging in price from the high $600,000s to $1.4 million. So far, Lennar has closed more than 260 homes and has more than 400 residents living at The San Francisco Shipyard.
Just east of Highway 101 and Interstate 280, The San Francisco Shipyard provides residents
easy access to downtown San Francisco, the Bay Bridge and San Francisco International Airport.
Third Street runs parallel to the development, and a few miles north on that roadway stands the Chase Center, the home of the Golden State Warriors starting in 2019. Residents can drive their own cars, ride share or hop on the daily shuttle that runs to the Third Street Corridor, Dogpatch and downtown.
Chan expects the area surrounding the Shipyard to blossom in the coming years, especially as entertainment and services pour into the area.
“We’re going to see more gourmet grocery stores, restaurants and boutiques as the southern waterfront continues to develop,” he said. “And there’s already a wealth of delivery services that will bring groceries and restaurant meals right to their front door.”
Prospective buyers may visit Lennar’s “Welcome Home Center” at 11 Innes Court daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
