Four Sunnyvale men held in fatal San Jose stabbing

Four men from Sunnyvale were arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the stabbing death of a man June 9 in San Jose, authoritie­s said.

San Jose police officers responded to a report of criminal activity at 4:12 a.m. near San Tomas Aquino Road and Payne Avenue, where they found a 20-year-old San Jose man suffering from at least one stab wound, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The victim, who has not been identified by police, was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

His death marks San Jose’s 12th homicide of the year, police said.

After the stabbing, officials said three more male victims suffering from non-life-threatenin­g stab wounds arrived at local hospitals.

The four suspects — Rodriguez Calvert, 21; Gener Rabino, 18; Mark Romero, 19; and Noe Santillano, 21 — each was arrested on one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder, and they were all booked into Santa Clara County Jail.

The investigat­ion is ongoing.
