Miraculous rescue from cave
In one of the most exemplary shows of international cooperation and collaboration of expertise, the heroic rescue of 12 junior soccer team players and their assistant coach hopelessly stuck in a flooded cave in Thailand speaks volumes about what the international community in the world can do together to make this world a safer and better place to live.
The fortitude shown by these children in the ordeal that lasted for over two weeks is, indeed, commendable. In fact, in the backdrop of the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup, these children have proved themselves to be the real-world champions of bravery, perseverance and inspirational teamwork in the midst of a life-and-death situation, unseen in any sport!
I hope the collaborative spirit of resilience and optimism these children epitomize is emulated by the divided world, particularly the currently not-too-friendly America, to jointly overcome the challenges that pose obstacles to the pursuit of international peace and progress of the world.
