Smash Mouth returns to Santa Cruz

-

Smash Mouth got famous fast in 1998, when the San Jose band’s first album, “Fush Yu Mang,” produced the hit single “Walking on the Sun.”

Twenty years and several hits later, Smash Mouth is still a lot of fun; make sure you’re following their Twitter feed, which retweets memes related to their hit “All Star” and entertainingly supports the local sports teams. (With the occasional feud breaking out.)

The band has had a strong 2018 musically as well. Original guitarist and songwriter Greg Camp has returned for recent concerts, and Smash Mouth recently released a 20th anniversary acoustic edition of “Fush Yu Mang.”
