_1 Police shooting: Video released Sunday from an officer’s body-worn camera shows a black man killed by Chicago police had a gun in a holster at his hip and was running away and reaching toward his waist when he was shot multiple times. The shooting Saturday night sparked a clash between angry residents and batonwield­ing officers. Four protesters were arrested and some officers suffered minor injuries from thrown rocks and bottles, some filled with urine. The man was identified as Harith Augustus, 37. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said officers found a handgun and two magazines of bullets at the scene. The shooting happened after patrol officers tried to question the man over a “bulge around his waistband” that suggested he was armed, patrol chief Fred Waller said. The man ran from the officers, who believed “he appeared to be reaching for a weapon” and shot him, he said.

_2 Deadly crash: A collision involving a passenger bus and three other vehicles on a highway in New Mexico early Sunday killed three people and injured 22 others, authoritie­s said. Fire Chief James Maxon said the crash occurred on Interstate 25 just north of Bernalillo, about 18 miles north of Albuquerqu­e. Maxon didn’t immediatel­y know what caused the collision involving a passenger bus, a semitruck, a pickup truck and a car. A photo by Rio Rancho Fire Rescue showed the mangled bus on its side surrounded by debris. Emergency crews had to pry open parts of the bus to extricate several people who were trapped inside.

_3 Stolen firetruck: Police chased a stolen firetruck across four Northern California counties during a high-speed pursuit that lasted nearly two hours and ended with two suspects under arrest. The Sacramento Metropolit­an Fire District truck worth about $1 million was taken from the scene of a small grass fire Saturday. The truck reached 70 mph as it sped about 85 miles through Sacramento, Placer, Yuba and Butte counties. It was eventually stopped on State Route 70 near Lake Oroville and a man and a woman were arrested. The truck has to be towed back for extensive repairs. Photos show a front wheel down to its rim.

_4 Pump prices: The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the U.S. fell a penny over the past three weeks to $2.94, according to a survey released Sunday by industry analyst Trilby Lundberg. The average price is 63 cents higher than it was one year ago. The highest average price among the cities surveyed was $3.74 in San Francisco, while the lowest was $2.52 in Baton Rouge, La.

_5 Cartel trial: A man authoritie­s describe as a former leader of the Zetas drug cartel in Mexico is scheduled to go on trial Monday in federal court in Waco, Texas, on drug charges that could result in a life sentence. Juan Francisco Trevino Chavez Jr., 38, was arrested nearly two years ago outside Houston. At a bail hearing in February, a federal agent testified Trevino has denied being a cartel leader.
