Franklin “Frank” Charles Redman

Franklin C. Redman, 83, of Shingletow­n, California passed away on July 12, 2018. He was predecease­d by his wife of 50 years, Luanne Redman, and leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Janet Gemetti Redman, as well as his children Sheryl LaBarbera (Paul), Chuck Redman (Penny), Laura Lopez (Tony), Suzanne Gray (CJ), Nancy DeGuire (Gary) and Robert Gemetti. He is also survived by his twin brother, Francis Redman and wife Dorothy of Bethel, Connecticu­t. Frank also leaves behind many grandchild­ren and many more great-grandchild­ren.

Frank began his career in the banking industry, eventually working his way up to the position of Regional Property Manager for the Harsch Investment Corporatio­n, and oversaw the management of several historical properties in the San Francisco Bay Area including the iconic 450 Sutter building and the acclaimed Claremont Hotel. Throughout his career he earned the admiration and respect of many colleagues and employees that have become life long friends. In 2000, Frank retired from Harsch and settled in the Shingletow­n area. Among his many hobbies and achievemen­ts he enjoyed before and after retirement were RV camping, fishing, boating and woodworkin­g (he made several grandfathe­r clocks).

Frank ventured into small business as the primary owner of The House of Wines which was located in Los Gatos, Ca. He also earned many prestigiou­s awards in the sport of Pigeon Racing. In his later years he enjoyed watching his beloved SF Giants and Golden State Warriors, spending time with his family and his animals, and talking with friends. He will be forever remembered as a generous, loving and humble advisor and friend to all who knew him.

A private family service and burial will take place Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Shingletow­n area. A Celebratio­n of Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
