Robert (Bob) W. Menary

June 6, 1950 - July 27, 2018

Resident of Angels Camp, Bob passed away on July 27, 2018. Age 68 years. Loving husband of Jacki Linich Menary for 31 years. Loving father of Jennifer Bamberger (Matt), Krystal Menary (Richie), and Amanda Aaron (Eric). Loving brother of Janet Haukaas (Norm) and Cheryl Matthey (Duncan). Loving grandfather of Nicole, Whitney, Spencer, Kassie, Cody, Katie and Eric. Many memories and laughs were had with his cousins, the Menarys, Cauwets and Mertas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob was born in and grew up in San Francisco. Graduated from Lincoln High, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard for a four year term. He remembered his time in Vietnam with the Coast Guard the most. After the Coast Guard Bob began his career; training in the San Francisco Electrical Apprenticeship and working in the Electrical Industry as a wireman, foreman, GF, and as a superintendent for major construction companies. Bob retired in 2005, when he and Jacki moved to Angels Camp, spending many a day playing golf.

Bob volunteered for many things in the community all his adult life. Bob was the Potentate of the Asiya Shriners (1995), Emeritus Member Shriners Hospital Northern California Board, member of the San Francisco Masonic Lodge No. 120, the Emeritus Chairman of the Walnut Festival Association, active member of the Native Sons, CHISPA Parlor 139. Bob sat on the Calaveras County Grand Jury for two years and was the Grand Jury Foreman for one year. He was the President of the Angels Camp Business Association for three years and was Chairman for the ACBA parade for nine years and the Facilitator for the Greenhorn Creek Advisory Board for six years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 25, 2018 at 1pm at Camps Restaurant, Greenhorn Creek Golf Resort, 711 McCauley Ranch Road, Angels Camp, CA 95222.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children Northern California, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento CA 95817.
