(All games are at 7 p.m. Friday except where noted) No. 20 Antioch (1-0) at No. 19 California-San Ramon (1-0):

California gave up just 288 yards in a 24-7 opening win over Spanish Springs-Sparks, Nev., last week. Jaysn Wade rushed for 144 yards and scored twice in Antioch’s 24-7 home win over Lincoln-Stockton.

No. 21 Marin Catholic-Kentfield (0-1) at No. 10 McClymonds-Oakland (0-0):

The Wildcats need a bounce-back win after losing at Campolindo­Moraga, and the two-time defending state champion Warriors try to make a statement with the start of a big upgrade in the nonleague schedule.

Monte Vista-Danville (1-0) vs. No. 24 San Leandro (1-0) at Burrell Field:

Under second-year coach Matt Russi, Monte Vista pulled out a big cross-sectional win, 9-3, at Granite Bay. Monte Vista will face an offense that scored at will in a 45-28 opening-night win at home versus FoothillPl­easanton.

San Benito-Hollister (0-0) at Terra Nova-Pacifica (0-1):

The host Tigers — with captains Layne Couri (a linebacker) and Giovanni FabianiWya­tt (strong safety) and new quarterbac­k Jaried Julian — could be the favorites of the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division. At halftime, the school’s stadium will be named after Bill Gray, who won 10 league championsh­ips in his 23 years as head coach.

Central Catholic-Modesto (1-0) at No. 1 De La Salle-Concord (1-0), 7:30 p.m.:

The programs, each coming off shutout wins, have combined for 11 state titles (seven for DLS), the most of any two teams in California. Central Catholic is led by four-star cornerback and leading rusher Dawaiian McNeely. Central Catholic coach Roger Canepa told the Modesto Bee: “We are excited but we didn’t pick this game to go down and not win. It’s a tough job, don’t get me wrong, and we respect everybody but fear nobody.” De La Salle’s Northern California unbeaten streak stands at 291.
