Rita Dolores Fogarty age 87, entered into eternal life October 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Donald Edward Fogarty for 55 years, loving and devoted mother to Dan (Linda) Fogarty, Jean (Bob) Shriver, Jane (Patrick) Gibbons, Mary Fogarty, George (Patricia) Fogarty and Eileen Fogarty. Loving grandmother of Lucy (Tim) Winberry, Erin (Nate) Bray, Megan (Jason) Stover, Elizabeth (KB) Hawks, Katie (Tom) Weibert, Kevin, Nancy and Ann Shriver, Joseph and Elizabeth Gibbons, Tim (Lauren) Fogarty, Brian Fogarty, Carlos and Marcos Cardenas. Great grandmother to Hannah and Evelyn Winberry, Michael, Joshua, Abigail, and Samuel Stover, Jacob Ledesma, Samantha, Alex and Monica Weibert and the late Kayleigh Fogarty.

Revered sister of Frank McCann, Paul (Angel) McCann, John McCann, Jim (Marlene) McCann and Dave (Kathleen) McCann.

Proud alumna of St. Peter’s Academy Class of 1948. Longtime St. Gabriel parishioner, member of the St. Gabriel Ladies Sodality, and for many years a volunteer in the school library. Later she served as librarian at St. Peter’s grammar school in the Mission.

Friends may visit Thursday October 18th beginning at 4:30pm with a vigil service at 7pm followed by a funeral mass Friday Oct 19th 11:00pm, all at St. Gabriel Church, 40th and Ulloa St., S.F. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
