- — Eric Branch and Matt Kawahara

When: 5:20 p.m. Thursday TV/Radio: 2t NFL Network/680, 740, 95.7, 106.9, 107.7

Spotlight on: 49ers TE George Kittle. On Sunday, the Raiders allowed Colts tight ends to total 10 catches for 133 yards and three touchdowns. Kittle, the 49ers’ second-year tight end, might be the top pass-catching threat in this game. Kittle has 37 catches for 584 yards on the season. While they can try to scheme against Kittle (6foot-4, 250 pounds), the Raiders have not shown they have an individual defender who matches up well against bigger tight ends.

Injuries: Raiders — OT T.J. Clemmings (knee) is out; CB Gareon Conley (foot), CB Daryl Worley (shoulder) and LG Kelechi Osemele (knee) are questionable. 49ers — S Antone Exum (concussion), LB Reuben Foster (hamstring) and S Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) are out; QB C.J. Beathard (wrist), RB Matt Breida (ankle), WR Pierre Garcon (knee), RB Raheem Mostert (ankle), C Weston Richburg (knee) and CB Richard Sherman (calf) are questionable.

THINGS TO WATCH: RAIDERS

The Raiders are the only defense in the NFL with a single-digit sack total on the season (seven). The 49ers are tied for the second-most sacks allowed at 31. The Raiders’ lone multi-sack game came in their only win: Week 4 against the Browns, when they had two.

Quarterback Derek Carr accounted for four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) in Sunday’s loss to the Colts. He’s facing a 49ers defense that ranks 27th in opposing passer rating (99.3).

Last Sunday’s starting cornerbacks, Gareon Conley and Daryl Worley, were both limited this week in practice. That is already a thin position for the Raiders, who saw Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie retire this week.

THINGS TO WATCH: 49ERS

After the 49ers’ past two home games, an opponent has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week: Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald (Week 7) and Cardinals defensive end Chandler Jones (Week 5).

The 49ers, who have the NFL’s sixth-ranked rushing offense, have had 100-plus rushing yards in six games. The Raiders, who have the league’s 32nd-ranked run defense, have allowed at least 140 rushing yards in five games.

49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin ranks second in the NFL in yards per catch (21.6). Only five teams have allowed more receptions of 20-plus yards than the Raiders (31).
