Sister Constance Madden, PBVM entered eternal life on October 28, 2018 at the Presentati­on Motherhous­e in San Francisco. A native of San Francisco, California, Sister Constance was born in1934 and was the only child of Joseph and Mary Agnes Madden. As a Sister of the Presentati­on for 65 years, she now leaves her loving Presentati­on Sisters, Presentati­on Associates and cousin Helen Arana.

Sister Constance was a dedicated educator and taught in Presentati­on schools in the (Arch) dioceses of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Jose. In 1967, she ventured forth into new ministries through parish visitation, catechetic­al formation and at various migrant camps.

She was also engaged in retreat ministry with the Franciscan­s in Santa Barbara, and with the Franciscan Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, later returning to Parish Ministry.

Most recently, Sister Constance has lived at Presentati­on Motherhous­e where she devoted herself to the ministry of prayer.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Presentati­on Motherhous­e, 2340 Turk Blvd., San Francisco, CA, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.

Memorial contributi­ons to the Sisters of the Presentati­on are preferred and can be sent to Sisters of the Presentati­on, Developmen­t Office, 281 Masonic Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94118, or donations can be made to Emergency Housing Consortium, San Jose, in memory of Sister Constance Madden.
